James Nares x Coach Limited Edition Handbags

Coach is going through a series of interesting changes lately. After introducing new bags which lack the logo print aiming to provide a classier look and a fabulous leather goods collection done in collaboration with British artist Hugo Guinness, the brand is coming forward with a new exciting project, this time with artist James Nares.

The New York based-painter and filmmaker was inspired by previous successful collaborations of the brand with several artists, a factor that greatly contributed to his decision to accept the project: “I was aware of the success of Reed [Krakoff]’s previous collaborations with other artists whose work I admire, and was excited by the prospect of doing something,” the painter told Style.com. “So, naturally I didn’t hesitate when Reed asked me if I would be interested in collaborating on a project.”

The collection consists of creative five designs which have James Nares’ influence painted all over them. The tote bags from the collection have double layered canvas and each tote is hand aligned in order to prevent print interruption. The artist’s signature brushwork combines with high quality craftsmanship of the luxury label for a true collector’s delight. Only 175 of each black, green, blue, pink, and red tote bags are being produced. The handbags can already be purchased for $798 each from Coach stores or from the company’s website.
