It’s nearly spring again and the fashion and beauty industries are preparing intensely to lure us into updating our beauty kits and wardrobes with brand new products by enlisting the help of our favorite celebrities. The Candie’s brand has pulled off a similar strategy making Glee’s star, Lea Michele‘s life a whole lot sweeter in the process by naming her the new brand ambassador.
As the new spokesperson for the brand, Lea is replacing Vanessa Hudgens, who has been the Candie’s face in 2020. Similar roles have been filled in the past by celebrities such as Britney Spears, Ashlee Simpson, Fergie, Jenny McCarthy, Hillary Duff and Kelly Clarkson.
The news first emerged on E! News as a brand insider declared: “Lea’s fans are the same as Candie’s fans,” and was later confirmed by the star herself via Twitter: ‘It’s true! I’m so excited to be the new spokes women for Candies!! Such an honor!!!! Can’t wait for you guys to see the pics!!’
It appears that we won’t have to wait too much to see the printed ads of the campaign which consists of a series of prints for clothing and accessories as the ads will be launched on January 25. The prints are rumored to show off a different side of the diva’s personality that many would not expect. Lea has done endorsements for brands like Dove, Chevy and PETA in the past, so fan expectations run high.
Lea serves as positive role model for girls battling their insecurities as she has done it herself over the years. She refused getting a rhinoplasty despite being recommended to do so by Hollywood agents and her decision turned out to be a great one. Working for ‘Glee’ has helped her be more aware of her beauty: “My mother would say to me, ‘Barbra Streisand never got a nose job. You’re not getting a nose job.’ And this was before I really even knew who Barbra was. I just knew that she was, like, the messiah for girls like me. ‘Glee’ has made me feel beautiful. Now when people say that I don’t feel like they’re lying,” she states, proving that she truly is a real asset for the brand.
