It was back in May, this year, that Miu Miu has announced Hailee Steinfeld as the brand’s new spokesmodel for their fall/winter 2020 advertising campaign. The choice of the famous label was criticized by people in the fashion industry saying that by opting for such young models, the women who actually buy this type of clothing might not relate to them. Former Miu Miu models were Maggie Gyllenhaal, Katie Holmes, Selma Blair, Chloe Sevigny, Vanessa Paradis, Lindsay Lohan, and Kirsten Dunst.
The first image of Hailee Steinfeld’s 2020 fall ad campaign for Miu Miu was released in June. The Oscar-award nominated actress was wearing a black, long-sleeved, swallow printed dress, a beautiful, oversized bag, dizzy black sandals, and retro sunglasses. Now, the rest of the photos arrived. Lensed by famous photographer Bruce Webber, the 14-year-old ‘True Grit’ actress looks chic and feminine wearing items from the latest Miu Miu collection. The photos were taken in Miami, in May, and it seems that Hailee had a great time posing for the campaign. The young actress said in a press release that, “It’s so much fun to have the chance to work with such a gifted designer and wear these incredible clothes. I feel so lucky to be a part of it.”
Hailee poses gracefully in the Miu Miu ad campaign, looking more mature and feminine in ladylike outfits and wearing stunning red lipstick. She appears on a railroad track, on the floor, surrounded by a sea of shoes, enjoying a slice of pizza, or in a field of grass. Beyond any criticism, the gorgeous actress undoubtedly brings a fresh, delicate and youthful touch to the collection.
Speaking about their new muse, the brand’s representative said that, “She is a girl who has the stature – in both senses – to carry these mature and elegant silhouettes whilst still remaining true to her youthful spirit. It is this timeless exuberance in attitude and strength of character that is sort in all Miu Miu women, both surpassing and diminishing years.”
After the beautiful and talented Hailee was spotted wearing the house’s creations at different events, the news was revealed in May. Steinfeld’s stylist Karla Welch told The Daily Beast that, “We formed a relationship with them at the SAG Awards. Miu Miu is such a perfect fit for her. Throughout awards season, they were the dresses she wanted to wear.”
