For the February issue of “Elle” magazine Katie Holmes graces the cover with a glamorous appearance. Photographer Carter Smith brings out the elegant and sophisticated side of the 32-old-year actress who looks great in every single photo. In the interview she talks about her career, the design process for her clothing line, “Holmes & Yang”, about family life and Suri’s fashion style.
Holmes will star in The History Channel’s miniseries, “The Kennedys”. Speaking about her role as Jacqueline Kennedy, Holmes says that “I worked as hard as I could, because I loved her. On set there was this feeling that we had to create something very special, because these people were very special.” She also added that ““[The Kennedys] were like movie stars. There was such a professionalism to their public image.”
Inside the magazine, Katie Holmes also talks about Suri giving her fashion advice. “She’ll really tell me [what she thinks]. Like today I’m wearing brown suede pants, and she said, ‘I don’t like your pants.’ But then she’ll say, ‘You’ve got to wear these shoes.”
Katie Holmes plays Jackie Kennedy Onassis in the History Channel’s upcoming eight-part miniseries “The Kennedys”. Speaking about the former first lady, Holmes told “Us Weekly” that “Her great style was both appropriate for every event that she went to and also classic, and also things that were wearable. I feel really lucky to be playing her.”
Katie and stylist Jeanne Yang collaborated for the clothing line “Holmes & Yang”. At the launching of the line, Holmes said that “We just wanted to do comfortable clothes that you can wear going from a meeting to being a mom to going on a date.”
