Behind this ingenious brand stands Laura Pimentel, the head-designer, with a vast distinctive design aesthetic that comes from her multi-cultural background and studies in both interior and accessories design. LaLucca designs are all hand-made, with a deep attention to details and fabrics. “Accessories are an ideal medium for self-expression. I love to create unique designer handbags that convey bold statements,” the designer says.
LaLucca collection is divided, for this season, in two. One is called “Art Bags” and the other one “Signature Collection 2020”. They represent something more, not only a part of a greater scene. They are almost two individual projects, each standing up for an artistic and visual concept.
The Art Bag collections is very fortunate project developed together with international artist Aleksandar Kirilov; this is the perfect combination between LaLucca’s know-how and Kirilov’s artistic touch.
Each piece of the Art Bag collection is unique, original and hand-made. In bold and colorful shapes, each of these bags has its own story and gives a certain unique feeling.
The Signature Collection, on the other hand, is less arty yet very cute. Best words to describe it would be: international concept, intelligent design, artful inspiration and unique pieces. Sounds pretty good, I know. The Signature collection includes handbags, accessories and travel bags. With prices ranging from $320 to $600, this collection is focused only on a few colors, red, green, orange and black.
We very much loved the Mizuna clutch, that features 9 credit card slots, a hot pink lining, an inside zipper pocket and a magnetic closure on flap. Also, we loved Nina, a leather handbag with top handles that features gold hardware, a front pocket, zipper closure, an interior zipper pocket and three patch pocket
