It seems that the well known American singer Jessica Simpson has decided to take things in her relationship to the next level as she got engaged to Eric Johnson, and NFL player. Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson have been dating since May and seem to get along perfectly.
A representative told People that: “Yes, we are excited to confirm that they are engaged!”
The couple has been spotted having a great time in Italy together, where Jessica has celebrated her 30th birthday so it seems that things are quite serious. The couple is planning on spending Thanksgiving together along with their families as Jessica told People:
“We’re all gonna be in New York. I’m gonna be on a float (Macy’s parade). It’s not always the best way to spend a Thanksgiving, but it’s a great way to celebrate. So, maybe I’ll just have all families on the float.”
However people have been wondering if her engagement didn’t come as a response to Nick Lachey’s engagement announcement to girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo. Could this be just a coincidence that the two “Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica” who used to be married have announced their engagements in short time from one another?
Rumors say that Eric Johnson, age 31, has been planning for quite a while to pop the question, so this really does seem just like a weird coincidence. All we can say is that we are happy for both couples and that we congratulate them on their engagement!
