We have to admit that the Kardashians became a real worldwide fascination. Their reality show that started on E! in 2020 soon turned into a profitable business. In fact, it is estimated that last year they have earned combined $65 million. Nowadays, the Kardashians are omnipresent. Shows, skin care and clothing lines, sneakers, swimwear, liquor, lipstick, a new lifestyle collection, Kim’s fragrance, Kardashian Khaos, the first “celebrity destination” store at the Mirage in Las Vegas, while their book, ‘Kardashian Konfidential’, has been on the New York Times best-seller list since December.
In the interview for ‘Redbook, Khloe tries to explain their appeal and why people are so fascinated with them. “We are a real family. We don’t sugarcoat anything. We’re not the Brady Bunch, but we always put each other first. We love each other on camera, we cry on camera. I think people relate to the realness of it,” she says.
The Kardashians are not afraid to reveal aspects of their lives to the entire world. “There’s nothing I’m really ashamed of, and I work hard on the show and all my other projects. I don’t drink or do drugs, so I’m comfortable showing the world what my life is all about,” Kim Kardashian admits. Moreover, she also talks about the rumors claiming that she has had several plastic surgeries. “It’s so ridiculous that they think I’m having all this surgery. When you do that, there are bruises and recovery time, and I am out and about every single day,” the 30-year old reality-star told ‘Redbook’.
Besides the fact that many people relate to all the issues this big group has to deal with, there are also others who might have created certain misconceptions about the Kardashians saying that they are popular for doing “nothing”.
“It’s annoying when I hear, “What do your girls do?” Well, first of all, all of my daughters have jobs. They are fashion stylists and designers; they own a chain of stores. They had the stores before they had the show. And my kids worked from the time they were 13 years old. So to me, that’s a huge misconception — that the girls don’t work. They work 25 hours a day. And that they don’t have any talent? They might not be singers or dancers, but they certainly know how to produce a television show. Whether you want to call it talent or not, they have multiple shows on the air. [I want to say,] How many shows do you have?,” mom Kris says.
Their strong bond and solid family values are vital for the Kardashians. “Our joy in life is that we always have each other. So I’ve tried to teach my kids three things: love God, love your family, and love yourself,” Kris told ‘Redbook’.
