This time creators of the beloved TV show managed to shock the fans by revealing the fact that Taylor Momsen and Jessica Szohr leave Gossip Girl and will become guest stars. Taylor Momsen playing the role of Jenny will leave the acting scene to spend more time with her band, The Pretty Reckless. Struggling with the split with Madonna’s Material Girl clothing line, the ex Gossip Girl still managed to win the heart of millions of fans who are fond of her new edgy look.
TVLine claims that Jessica’s character, Vanessa, will be invited into the series only on the basis of a guest star. The media source also states that the rest of the Gossip Girl cast will remain the same.
The lineup includes: Blake Lively (Serena), Leighton Meester (Blair) Penn Badgley (Dan), Ed Westwick (Chuck), Chace Crawford (Nate), and the new member who’ll complete the parade of regular characters will be Kaylee DeFer.
Some ardent fans might have difficulties accepting this radical change, however, they’ll have the chance to spot Jessica and Taylor in other movie productions or on the music stage. In spite of the controversies that surround the wild lifestyle of Taylor Momsen, she still managed to become one of the most inspiring character of the series.
