Lady Gaga is one of the most controversial celebs of the world. However, this time she managed to land on the frontpage due to a shocking and world-shattering act. We find out from the newest celeb gossips that Lady Gaga is sued for charity corruption. It is claimed that the young singer scammed a few dollars from the sale of the famous wristbands that should have contributed to the helping of victims of the latest tsunami in Japan.
Those who took part in the campaign know that these chic accessories could be purchased for no more than $5 with an extra $3.99 fee for shipping and $0.60 for taxes. Yesterday Lady Gaga crowned the popularity of the great charity program with a live performance at the MTV Video Music Aid Japan in Tokyo.
As Dailymail claims, the lawsuit tackles a delicate problem according to which Lady Gaga refused to make public how much of the whole sum was actually sent to Japanese victims.
This media source also reveals the statement of Ari Kresch, the attorney who sued the Fame Monster, which says that, “I’m suing Lady Gaga simply to hold her accountable for giving the money that she was raising for charity to the cause that she was trying to raise it for.”
A fellow attorney added that, “ When we tried to communicate with the defendants in this lawsuit, all we got was, ‘well, some of the money is being retained, but we don’t really know how much’, is the essence of the response that we got”…”If the money were going to the right place rather than into the defendant’s pocket, then I hope that our effort helps that.”
This year might be extremely difficult for Lady Gaga if she finally loses the case. The tsunami produced tremendous damages in Japan. Using her celebrity status to get hold of some ‘extra pocket money’ could be the worst and last trick Lady Gaga used to win the heart of millions of fans. Some consumers also claimed that they had not even received the fab wristbands and the campaign is still on.
