When it comes to fashion, designer labels such as Elie Saab and Oscar de la Renta seem intangible for most young adults, but not this diva as she gets to play dress-up with an array of fab designer clothes on the movie sets. Lily tells Fashion that she loved her dramatic wardrobe for her Snow White movie role and that:

“I saw all these dramatic, colorful, amazing outfits and I thought, ‘Wow, Julia’s so lucky.’ And then they started bringing them in, and I said, ‘Is this for me?’ The first outfit took 25 minutes to get into, and when I looked in the mirror I got teary-eyed.”

Although she’s a total girly-girl, Lily Collins loved the action on the set of her latest movie and told the magazine that kids who would come on the set while she was acting would start to cry. She said:

“I was sprinting through this huge room of trees, in my ball gown, sword fighting, going up cliffs. When the crew brought their kids onto set, they would see me and start crying. They were like, ‘Blanche Neige!’”

Apparently, Lily got her incredible fashion sense from her mother, who according to the young actress loved to mix designer pieces with vintage styles to create a one-of-a-kind look. The advice and influence of her mom helped Lily become a style inspiration for others, so how she did it? Well, the actress told the magazine that:

“In the ’80s, she wore Yohji Yamamoto and Vivienne Westwood, and then she mixed it with vintage and she’d throw in Alaia. She taught me that it’s all about the thrill of the hunt. If you don’t want to look through that pile, probably no one else has, so the coolest thing is in that pile.”
