The Kardashians are proving they are a united family as Khloe Kardashian, who has been a strong advocate of PETA, even stripping to nothing but her bare skin for one of the organization’s “I’d rather go naked than wear fur” campaigns, has decided to stop supporting PETA after the flour attack on her sister Kim.
Kim Kardashian was rocking the carpet at the launch of True Refection perfume at The London Hotel in West Hollywood donning a lovely black and royal blue ensemble when she was pelted with a flour bag by a woman who was later taken into custody by the Police. Kim’s alleged attacker is apparently an animal rights activist as she shouted, at the moment of the flour toss, the words ‘FUR HAG’, however PETA denied any connections with the anti-fur activist. It seems that Khloe thinks otherwise as she announced on her personal blog that she will no longer support PETA due to the organization’s support shown for Kim’s alleged attacker. She wrote to her fans that:
“Hi dolls. I’m sure you all heard what happened to Kim last week (thank you SO much for the love and support you all showed her), and I just received word that the woman responsible has very close ties to PETA, despite PETA publicly stating otherwise. Not only has PETA lied to the public, but they have proved that they support this kind of behavior. I’ve been a vocal supporter of PETA for a long time but I have also been very vocal about anti-bullying, so this was a huge disappointment for me. As you all know, I don’t condone violence and bullying and what happened last Thursday was just that. I am absolutely disgusted by their behavior.”
Kim has been seen donning fur ensembles on several occasions despite the fact that she supported Khloe in her anti-fur campaign for PETA, but Khloe states that she believes people have the right to their opinion and that although she does not wear fur, she believes convincing others to stop wearing fur through violence is a definite No-No. Khloe states that she will not switch her views and will not wear fur but she will no longer show any support for PETA.
“I will still continue to NOT wear fur, but I will no longer support PETA. Bullying and harassment is NEVER a solution, and I won’t be a part of any organization that thinks otherwise.”
