Self proclaimed “95% vegan” Carrie Underwood is admired for her sexy and legs. Even if you’re not willing to follow her diet, you can get in shape just like she did with the help of an excellent exercise routine.

Carrie Underwood’s sexy legs are a product of both her strict workout and her meatless diet. One of her personal trainers, Tony Greco, has offered some very important insights into her exercise routine.

Besides avoiding meat and most dairy and eggs, the American Idol winner says she stays in shape by keeping a food log. Starting out with a breakfast that includes a soy based sausage, Carrie Underwood keeps eating lean protein throughout the day.

Green veggies and nuts certainly contribute to the lean look of Carrie Underwood’s legs, but the blonde singer also spends a lot of time working out, up to 90 minutes a day.

Trainer Tony Greco, who has also worked with Carrie Underwood’s husband, Mike Fisher, has outlined the most important exercises any woman can try to get the singer’s sexy legs. For the Carrie Underwood leg workout, you need a simple exercise mat, a step and light dumbbells (which you can use for any of the exercises).

To get the best results out of the workout without any risk of injury, you should always warm up with a few lunges. You can mix in anything from jump split lunges to drop lunges for an easy to do warm up focused on the muscles of your legs and butt.

Start with Toe Taps. With your right foot on the step, push on your right heel to stand up and tap the left toe on the step before going back to the original position. Repeat for 1 minute switching legs.

Carrie Underwood leg Step-ups. Putting your right foot in the middle of the step, raise yourself by balancing the left foot behind and keep the position for 2 seconds. Continue for each leg, alternating, for a total of 1-2 minutes.

Another great exercise in the Carrie Underwood’s leg workout is the Skater Lunge. It’s basically a reverse lounge, but the trick is keeping the back leg at an angle. Leap, bring the opposite leg behind and tap its toes on the ground, leap back and keep alternating for up to 1 minute.

Follow Carrie Underwood’s legs workout 3 days every week, but if you want visible results in only 3 weeks, you’ll also need to do some exercise every other day, 30 minutes of moderate cardio, from jogging to biking, according to Shape.com.
