Gucci prepares to launch a collection of some of its most iconic scents in a new collection of ‘Flora’, which is set to be launched this March. The new collection features five fragrances and they contain only a few modifications compared to the first edition of the line that appeared in 2020. Gorgeous Gardenia, Gracious Tuberose, Glamorous Magnolia, Generous Violet and Glorious Mandarin are the names of the five fragrances included in the collection.
Creative director Frida Giannini describes the impressions she wanted to evoke: “So Gorgeous Gardenia because I wanted to underline the gorgeously feminine side of this fragrance. Glorious Mandarin because there’s a sort of euphoria in mandarin, since it’s such a sparkly fruit.”
“It’s a sort of bouquet of scents. It was important that each fragrance was pretty different from the other, ”she stated.
The subtle changes in approach can be noticed in the presentation details, like the designs of the bottles: “We just played with proportions, so the bottle is taller than the previous one. The cap, rather than being black and gold like in the former iteration, is transparent.”
The new collection already got an ad campaign which features supermodel Abbey Lee Kershaw in a classy, rather romantic dreamy pose.
Girly yet enigmatic, innocent yet seductive, the latest campaign shot by Sølve Sundsbø has a definite spring vibe associated with it.
The latest collection is set to be released first in U.K, then in U.S and other European countries in April and in May for Russia and Middle East. The collection will only enter the Chinese market next year. As far as the price range is concerned, it seems that it will be $100 for the 100 ml version and $75 for the smaller, 50 ml version.
