Isaac Mizrahi and Tweezerman Team Up For Limited Edition Line

Tweezerman and Isaac Mizrahi teamed up for a five piece limited edition collection. If you’re on the lookout for things to prettify your grooming routine, the new line, which will make its debut this August exclusively at Sephora and sephora.com, might just be the best choice.

Conny Wittke, chief executive officer and president of Tweezerman International stated that the fashion designer’s whimsical approach to design inspired the partnership: “Isaac is an American design superstar. His designs are fun and whimsical, so they work well on surfaces like ours. More importantly, he really believes in high-performance tools, which is very important to us. He’s a fan of the Tweezerman brand and products.”

Indeed, the designer acknowledged the important role tweezers have in a woman’s beauty kit as he told WWD:“Tweezers are really important in the arsenal of beauty products. You notice when a brow is wrong. [Tweezerman] has the best product. That’s why we have this partnership.”

Though the creative director highlights the importance of well groomed brows, he never applied the principle to himself. Why? Isaac Mizrahi was born without brows. He made the surprising revelation for Fashionista.com: I don’t use [the tweezers] for brow purposes. I was born without brows–I have no brows! I use pencils to fill in my brow. Every once in a while I get a stray hair and someone goes, “I’m going to pull this” and I say, “No, no, no!” It’s the one [piece of] evidence I have of a brow.”

The Isaac Mizrahi x Tweezerman limited edition collection will feature four tweezers, which will feature two limited edition patterns: Splatter Paint and Candy Buttons. The fifth piece of the collection will be a nail file which will also in Candy Buttons print. How do these patterns reflect the label’s spirit? The designer himself explained: “I’m a polka dot person. Especially in bright colors. Color is extremely important to me. My brand stands for color, and happy colors especially.” The new line will have the following prices: $25 for the full size tweezers, $15 for mini slant tweezers and $5 for the nail file.
