Far from being discouraged by the financial crisis, Spanish designer Custo Dalmau – Custo Barcelona, presented his collection for Spring Summer 2020 at the Athens Fashion Week.
An army of about 1500 fashion editors, buyers, celebrities and fans have followed the collection presented by 35 models. The key elements of the new collection are figurative, psychedelic prints, pop elements, bright colors, dragons inspired by the Chinese culture, oversized flowers, gigantic rainbows and Bengal tigers.
Also, a 60’s hippie chic influence came through in this psychedelic collection of flowy dresses, mini-skirts, and bell-bottoms. The dress, a recurrent item of the collection, has been present in his collection under all of its forms: with or without sleeves, polo-dress, partially see-through, slim fit or loose and asymmetric, fluid or draped, long T-shirt dress – all over printed.
Custo Dalmau doesn’t want to give up on his obsession – the overflowing optimism, reinterpreting season after season, without following the general fashion trends.
