It seems that, when it comes to the Fall Winter 2020 collections, fur is an absolute must-have – a big fashion trend for the upcoming season.
Back and better looking than ever, fur has been many designers choice for the next season, regardless the economic conditions and the restrictions applied nowadays everywhere. Almost arrogant in this picture, but with great style and personality, fur is definitely one of the major fashion trends for Fall 2020.
Fur is present, but it’s not opulent, and that’s easy to see in Lanvin’s collection, or in Miu Miu’s fur coats, made with deconstructed gabardine wool.
As said before, fur was seen all over the runways for the cold season, maybe as a sign that fashion, though it’s integrated and born form our lives, above all, art. No wonder that in their fall collections, Hermes and Fendi translated it into coats, skirts, or cuffs, turning this runway look into everyday glamour.
From deep burgundy and plum to acid green and bright blue, fur animated the runway. Christian Lacroix used fur as a collar; Julien Macdonald created a ravishing coat made of dark green, very mysterious fur, while Michael Kors had in mind that acid green we’ve been talking about.
Prada introduced the dress made of fur, a beautiful and baroque creation that had, no doubt, amazed many fashion critics. Fur was also present as an accessory or even a fabric in Dolce & Gabbana’s Fall 2020 collection; at Mathew Williamson in a dark blue, perfectly matching a pair of leather pants. Thakoon’s Fall 2020 collection was a true abundance of fur, matching natural furs with neon colors.
In any shape and in any color chosen by designers, fur is here to stay this season, so don’t be afraid to purchase one yourself.
