Held at the at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, the 2020 Grammy Awards were the biggest night of the year for music, and plenty of celebrities brought their A-game to the stage and to the red carpet.

Sexy in Black
While many celebrities opted for black gowns, few were demure. Miley Cyrus wore an attention-grabbing Alexandre Vauthier gown with plenty of cut-outs.
Ciara chose a more dramatic look from the Alexandre Vauthier Spring 2020 Couture collection, with dramatic ruffles, while Nicki Minaj opted for a Tom Ford dress with plenty of cleavage.
Sheer Skirts
One of the biggest Grammy Awards 2020 red carpet trends, sheer skirts made a big impact thanks to celebrities like Beyoncé and Jessie J. While Bey wore white for her performance, she brought glamor to the red carpet with a black tulle Proenza Schouler gown. Jessie J chose a gorgeous look from the Ralph & Russo Fall 2020 Couture collection, while Meghan Trainor opted for a Galia Lahav gown with a sheer skirt.
Pants
Sexy legs were big on the red carpet, but some celebrities opted for pants. Gwen Stefani rocked the look the right way in a black jumpsuit from the Atelier Versace Spring 2020 collection. Joining her husband Pharrell on the red carpet, Helen Lasichanh wore one a jumpsuit from his Adidas collection, while E!’s Giuliana Rancic chose a Inbal Dror pantsuit with sheer paneling.
Metallic Dresses
Some stars wanted to literally shine on the big night, so embellished metallic gowns ended up as one of the major Grammy Awards 2020 red carpet trends. Katy Perry sparkled in a Zuhair Murad Spring 2020 Couture gown, Rita Ora wore a custom Prada long-sleeve gown, while Kim Kardashian chose a robe style gown from the Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2020 Couture collection.
Cleavage
There was no shortage of cleavage on the red carpet at the Grammys. While Nicki Minaj wore the look best in black, Lady Gaga opted for a revealing Brandon Maxwell silver embellished gown. The singer chose to display both cleavage and a high slit, and that was also the look Ashanti was going for, in a black Michael Costello gown.
White
The immaculate look was also among the big Grammy Awards 2020 red carpet trends. Ariana Grande wore a Versace asymmetrical white gown with mesh silver overlay. Jennifer Hudson looked sophisticated in a white Tom Ford dress. Tony Braxton opted for a Marc Bouwer Fall 2020 gown, while Crissy Teigen went for a sexy look in an Emilio Pucci Resort 2020 look with cut-outs.
Green Jewelry
The jewelry trend that really stood out on the Grammy red carpet was green. Lorraine Schwartz created both Beyoncé’s emerald chandelier earrings and Lady Gaga’s necklace. Taylor Swift, who stood out on the red carpet in a teal Elie Saab Spring 2020 gown also opted for attention-grabbing green earrings.
Tuxedos
Menswear inspired looks also made it on the list of Grammy Awards 2020 red carpet trends, with a few celebs opting for tuxedos. Anna Kendrick wore a black Band of Outsiders suit, while Charli XCX chose a white Jeremy Scott Spring 2020 tuxedo, and added glamor with a pink faux fur stole. Danielle Haim also stuck to the white theme, in a Stella McCartney suit.
Over the Top
The Queen of Pop chose a Givenchy look, halfway between a burlesque stage look and a bullfighting costume, with plenty of lace, ribbons and sparkly embellishments. Rihanna opted for a Giambattista Valli Spring 2020 Couture gown with very voluminous tulle, while Sia wore a black Giorgio Armani look, but added the drama with her oversized wig.
Lobs
When it comes to hair, one of the major Grammy Awards 2020 red carpet trends was the textured lob. Katy Perry, Miranda Lambert and Kim Kardashian showed off the trendy hairstyle, in shades from purple to black.
