PFW Fall 2020: Valentino Fall 2020 RTW Collection
Designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli looked no further than their hometown for inspiration for the Valentino fall 2020 collection.
If for the Valentino spring 2020 couture line, Italian Opera proved the right starting point, this time it was Italian pop art from the ’60 and ’70s that helped the creative duo come up with wonderful ethereal creations with an innocent vibe. The show started on a cheerful note with several looks featuring colorful dots in cool combinations of pink, red, black and white. As the show progressed, the label’s signature ethereal capes and floor-length gowns featuring lavish embroideries, romantic floral prints and chic butterfly motifs made their way down the catwalk. It seems like the designer decided to adopt a trendier approach this time even though his signature sultry sequined floor-sweeping dresses were also included. Novelty came in the form of inky dégradées, sophisticated fur pieces and more eveningwear alternatives with a masculine vibe and more sheer, daring evening gowns. The rich colors the designer chose for the new line definitely did justice to the theme of the new line. See more from the Elie Saab fall 2020 collection!

‘The Beauty and the Beast’ was the fairytale that inspired the new Alexander McQueen fall 2020 collection. The new options aren’t elegant in the traditional sense as only fashionistas with a serious degree of tolerance for risk can wear the outfits, but the uniqueness and otherworldly allure the new collection carries definitely makes it one of the most memorable lines from this edition of the Paris Fashion Week.
