The new Vans x Opening Ceremony sneakers collection is quite a literal representation of the “wearable art” concept. The new line pays homage to one of Belgium’s most famous and influential artists, Rene Magritte. For the new project Opening Ceremony has worked closely with the Magritte Foundation to ensure the artist’s work is well adapted and represented.
To say the new Vans x Opening Ceremony Magritte sneakers are definite conversation starters feels like an understatement, especially since this is precisely what makes them so unique and special, however, we can’t find but be dazzled by the cool new options the brand brings into the spotlight, especially since they pack so much statement making potential without being overly conspicuous or bright.
Fashionistas can choose between 5 fabulous styles. Two of the new styles are inspired by flowers and fire: the Blow to the Heart Vans Canvas sneakers, which feature a lovely rose detail, the Ladder of Fire Vans Canvas Sneakers which feature a surprising color combination – soothing light blue combined with blue and orange.
