Issa London Teams Up with Banana Republic

Hooray! New collaboration in town! This time, Kate Middleton’s favourite label, Issa London teamed up with Banana Republic in order to create a limited edition collection set to be released later this year. The 40-piece line will feature kimono and wrap dresses, cover-ups as well as accessories and jewelry pieces. Made by Issa’s creative director Daniella Helayel and inspired by Banana Republic’s safari heritage and “the spirit of an exotic journey”, the designs will be characterized by a feminine flare and flawless cuts. You’ll also discover Issa’s signature zebra and leopard prints.

“We were immediately inspired by Banana Republic’s heritage of safari adventures when we dreamt up this collection together,” said Simon Kneen, Banana Republic’s creative director and executive vice president of design.

“Issa London’s effortlessly chic style complements our global Banana Republic consumer who is on the go and needs to transition her look seamlessly from day to night,”he explained. “We always love animal prints such as zebra and giraffe stripes,” Simon Kneen told WWD. “Issa took that and modernized it. I love that the collection is our world and their world.”

The collection will be launched on August 13 and will be sold at 450 Banana Republic stores and 700 international stores. As for the prices, these seem to be pretty reasonable ranging from $39-150. The apparel will retail from $69.50 for a sweater to $150 for a dress. The jewelry pieces and accessories will cost from $39.50 for a bangle to $150 for a tote.
