Karlie Kloss is back! In fact, she was never out of the spotlight! The famous supermodel has turned designer and created a capsule collection for FRAME Denim. Well, since Kloss is so tall, finding the perfect pair of pants was a constant challenge. So, now she teamed up with the California-based brand in order to design jeans for those of you who have long legs.
“I’m freakishly tall, so finding pants that fit is something I’ve struggled with my whole life, my secret to pulling off too-short jeans has always been to pair them with boots . . . and I really rocked the flood-pant trend for as long as I could,” Kloss says.
The model’s collection for FRAME Denim is called ‘Forever Karlie’ and it features flares and skinny jeans in different washes, and waistlines that are cut a little higher for taller girls with longer torsos. The pieces in Karlie’s line will be available at Barneys, Net-a-Porter, Jeffreys, and Ron Herman starting this June for under $220. Hooray!
“It wasn’t until I started modeling at fifteen that I even realized what well-fitting clothes felt like, I’m by no means a qualified designer, but through work I’ve learned how clothing should fit and ultimately, how it should feel, there’s nothing worse than a pair of jeans that leaves you feeling exposed when you bend down,” Kloss explains.
FRAME Denim was founded in 2020 by Jens Grede and Erik Torstensson, the two London-based Swedes behind The Saturday Group. Their purpose was to make the perfect pair of jeans, by mixing the quality and heritage of denim manufacturing in Los Angeles and the influence of a London style, cut and fit. And now they came up with something unique and so useful!
“Nobody has ever done this before. It’s not just a case of making jeans longer; the entire proportion changes and denim factories had never cut that way before,” says Grede “We’re just friends who got together and did this for fun. I’m convinced there are other tall women out there who can’t find jeans that fit, but if nothing else, we’ve made the perfect ones for Karlie. She’s set for life!”
