The BET Awards 2020 edition held at the Nokia Theatre in LA this Sunday brought many bold style choices and a few minor wardrobe malfunctions. Even so, most of the 2020 BET Awards red carpet looks proved an interesting selection of sexy ensembles that inevitably stole the spotlight.
BET Awards 2020 Style: White Dresses
While each of the stars present at the event chose styles that reflected their style personality, a theme started contouring from the very beginning. Many celebrities opted for dazzling white dresses and ensembles which proved a fabulous contrast against their flawless brown skin.
Former Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams easily drew all eyes on her in a sexy geometric low cut dress with a high slit and a fab peplum detail, which she accessorized matching 80s inspired triangle earrings.
For the BET 2020 Awards red carpet, Angela Simmons chose futuristic vibes and with a seductive short dress with many intricate details and embellishments. Her outfit received mixed reviews from fashion critics but it was definitely one of the most thought provoking ensembles for the night. She chose open toe nude heels and sparkly diamond bracelets and ring to complete her look.
Other stars that subscribed to the ‘pretty in white’ were Brandy and model Beverly Johnson. Brandy chose a white lace Michael Cinco knee-length with gorgeous intricate embroidery. While her dress was absolutely stunning, her choice as far as footwear was concerned could have been a whole lot better given the delicate allure of the dress. On the other hand, model Beverly Johnson was a stunning appearance on the red carpet. Her gorgeous long sleeve floor length gown with a bold neckline flattered her curves and made it almost impossible to believe she is turning 61 this year.
BET Awards 2020 Red Carpet: Short Dresses
Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas opted for a sophisticated strapless multilevel lace gown that suited her perfectly. Another surprising appearance was definitely Amber Rose. The star looked absolutely stunning in a short black and yellow dress with gold details that showed off her fab post baby silhouette. It seems that she decided to ditch her brown long longs in favor of her signature do. Though the wind revealed more than she intended to show at one point, she was still a stunning and completely surprising appearance.
Kat Graham and Gabrielle Union went for sexy monochrome dresses, while Jordin Sparks and Naya Rivera opted for modern colorful frocks.
BET Awards 2020 Style: Sexy Floor-Length Gowns
The BET Awards 2020 celebrity style list would definitely not be complete without Nicki Minaj. The star left eccentric choices aside and opted instead for a spectacular black body hugging gown which she accessorized with gold bracelets. Singer Adrienne Bailon also chose to show off her sexy curve in a red high slit Grecian gown which she accessorized with colorful sandals.
