Indian-born American designer Naeem Khan, focused once again on ultra feminine gowns for his newest line, this time bringing Spanish and Mexican influences into the spotlight. He brought interesting variations on his elaborate signature beaded gowns, worked with folklore-inspired motifs and brought many red-carpet worthy alternatives into the spotlight. NYFW Spring 2020: Jenny Packham Collection
“’70s take on austere Edwardian attire” was designer Jenny Packham’s focus for the new line. The designer brought a multitude of gorgeous cocktail dresses and sophisticated evening gowns in a myriad of cool tones: dusty pink, royal blue, green, lime or mustard yellow. The Reem Acra spring 2020 collection brought an interesting spin on the concept of disco glamour. Though eveningwear is not typically described as ‘fun’, this is exactly the word that best summarizes the new line which revolved around red, orange, black, silver and gold tones. NYFW Spring 2020: Oscar de la Renta Collection
Stunning, breath-taking, incredible, extraordinarily beautiful…any of these adjectives can easily describe Oscar de la Renta’s spring creations inspired by the portraits of the Fitton sisters. NYFW Spring 2020: Badgley Mischka Collection
Designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka took inspiration from the French Riviera for their spring 2020 line and brought a multitude of interesting twenties and thirties inspired silhouettes into the spotlight. At first, the theme was reflected through a series of feminine outfits in navy and white, but as the show progressed, the focus was placed on glamorous eveningwear as this is where the designers’ talent is truly reflected.
