The Nicole Kidman for Jimmy Choo resort 2020 campaign lensed by Camilla Akrans is the second set of ads the Academy Award winning actress has shot for the label. While the Jimmy Choo fall 2020 ads showed the star’s sexy side as she impersonated a Hitchcock heroine, the new campaign pays tribute to ’60s screen sirens.

Sandra Choi, Creative Director for Jimmy Choo, declared herself pleased with the way the new ads turned out and was impressed with the star’s performance: “Yet again Nicole has perfectly captured the strength and complexity of the Jimmy Choo woman; the depth of her character also conveys the playful and sultry mood of our Cruise collection. She radiates with the magnetic aura of iconic actresses from the ‘60s.”

Nicole Kidman, who seems to have chosen Brigitte Bardot as her muse for the new photoshoot, also stated that she loved the concept of the new ads: “I really enjoyed being able to play a role that was playful and free of any inhibitions referencing iconic actresses from the ‘60s. I embraced the feeling of summer holidays spent at the beach where you always feel up for a dare and having fun.”

The new campaign is quite simple. The ads show the star on the beach looking glamorous. This time, the focus is not placed on the star’s outfit but rather on the new offerings themselves. While the new ads might not be the most memorable, a simple glance at the new campaign immediately reveals which are the new collection’s most important pieces.

The Nicole Kidman for Jimmy Choo cruise 2020 campaign doesn’t feature too many of the label’s new offerings. Instead, the ads put in the spotlight two of the brand’s accessories: the XENIA strappy sandals and the ANNA python bag. The Jimmy Choo cruise 2020 shoes and handbags are already available for pre-order on the luxury label’s official website.
