Penelope Cruz brought all her irresistible charm and undeniable sophistication in the Campari 2020 calendar shot by fashion photographer Kristian Schuller. The photoshoot was based on superstitions and aimed to convince people that the act of “believing in one`s own possibilities” is the thing that “allows any superstition to be overcome”. The Spanish actress stuns in a variety of stunning luxurious designs from fashion houses like Marchesa, Monique Lhuillier, Zac Posen, Alaia or Emilio Pucci.
The star confidently tackled the intriguing challenge and stated: “As an actress, they often pose challenges to me of describing the indescribable, and this photo shoot was no different. We created a character who had to show a strong and positive attitude, and really get to the heart of each superstition and dissipate these myths by promoting confidence.” Campari CEO Bob Kunze-Concewitz told Vogue U.K that the actress’ wonderful personality was indeed the main reason for the choice: “It’s a challenge to create something different, beautiful and exciting each year…Penélope’s incredible personality and beauty meant she was the perfect choice to embody this year’s theme.”
The gorgeous set of fashionable scarlet alternatives and the sophisticated ensembles as well as the fairly original theme of the calendar might be enough to make fans of the brand and the actress’ fans rush to buy it, however, it is not for sale. Like every year, only 9,999 copies are being printed and all of these are being distributed among friends of the brand.
