Like sun damages your skin, it also damages your hair as well. As soon as summer enters, our healthy and beautiful tresses become damaged slowly and lose its shine. If we are coloring our hair, then our hair gets damaged easily this season. It becomes bleached and faded. You can say the sun cooks our hair making the hair dry and rough with the UV rays. This is the reason why people opt for short hair this season. So it’s important to take proper hair care during this season to protect hair and scalp.
The Causes:
The major problem we often face with hair is the frizz. During summer hair takes in the humidity in the air making the shaft to swell causing breakage in the cuticle which results in frizz.
Swimming during summers may damage your hair even more. Chlorine in the water strips the hair of its natural oils. The greenish cast which can be often seen in blonde hairs is due to copper and other chemicals. These chemical molecules bind to the protein in your hair.
If you dip in sea water, the heavy salt content in the water also takes out all the water in your hair making it dry.
Summer Hair Care Tips:
1. Lots of Water:
Save your skin and hair from the excess humidity in the air during summers by drinking plenty of water. Drink more water when compared to other seasons. Keep a water bottle with your all the time and sip some water every now and then.
