Fashion guru Elie Saab is preparing to expand his talent in making women feel fabulous by launching his first fragrance titled Elie Saab Le Parfum. The name Elie Saab is a name with resonance in the fashion industry and since beauty and style don’t resume only to fashion, the fashion designer is making the next big step, launching his own signature fragrance.
It is not uncommon for fashion designers to launch their signature scents, as Balenciaga, Hermes, Chloe, Christian Dior or Armani are only a few important designer labels which have managed to dominate the beauty scene with their scents. Elie Saab’s perfume is created in partnership with Shiseido’s Beauté Prestige International, and the goal of BPI is, according to Nathalie Helloin Kamel, VP of Parfums Issey Miyake and Elie Saab at BPI, to “do our best to put his spirit into a bottle”.
The fragrance wanted to capture the beauty and elegance of a woman who wears an Elie Saab dress with pride and desire. This seductive fragrance, created by perfumer Francis Kurkdjian has a floral-solar-woody scent which takes you on a dreamy journey in a split second. Notes of orange blossom, jasmine, rose honey, patchouli and cedar wood beautifully unite to help install a feeling of desire, femininity and seductiveness.
Design plays a major role in Elie Saab’s career, so no wonder that the design of his fragrance also has to exude the same elegance that Elie’s fashion collection exudes with every appearance. The fragrance bottle was designed by Sylvie de France and looks amazing; the transparent, classic, elegant architectural glass bottle being a perfect match for the fragrance and what Elie Saab stands for. The beige coloration of the bottle takes you to the travertine marble and chocolate brown furniture present in Elie Saab’s stores. The white details stand for the amazing wedding dresses he creates while the gold touches bring a touch of the sunny warmth in Lebanon, the designer’s country of origin.
Elie Saab Le Parfum will be available for purchase from July in France, U.S, United Kingdom, Spain, Germany and Lebanon, while the fragrance will hit stores in other countries in September. The fragrance will be available in the following sizes of EDP: 30, 50 and 100 ml, and the brand will also feature additional products such as body cream, body milk, shower cream and deodorant.
