Facial Detox Recipes for Beautiful Skin

Healthy glowing skin is usually dependent on diet, but a facial detox can give your skin a boost even when you’re eating all the right foods. Check out some tried and true detox facial recipes you can treat your skin with anytime.

A facial detox can improve the health and look of your skin even when you’re using all natural skincare and makeup products. Pores get clogged up and a detox facial is the best way to go for a fast and effective beauty treatment.

Steam and Essential Oils Facial Detox

Using a steam facial, you can easily soften the skin and aid in the removal of dead cells and toxins. Combining steam with essential oils is even more efficient.

Clean and dry your face before using a big bowl of hot water with a few drops of your favorite essential oils. Tea tree and orange are great options. Put a towel over your head and keep your face at a comfortable distance for 10 minutes. You can also gently apply a bit of avocado oil on your face midway through the steaming facial detox, that will help clean your pores.

Facial Detox with Mineral Soak

If the thought of standing over a bowl of hot water with a towel on your head isn’t very appealing, go for a facial detox based on a mineral soak.

Add a teaspoon of Epsom salts and a few drops of citrus essential oil to a small bowl of hot water, then soak a towel in the mixture. Lay down and keep the damp warm towel on your face for 10-15 minutes. Make sure the water isn’t too hot when you drape the towel on your face.

Detox Facial with Green Clay

Green clay, mixed with apple cider vinegar makes for a perfect facial detox and helps flush out toxins and even get rid of blackheads.

Mix the clay with apple cider vinegar (or a mixture of vinegar and water) then apply to your face and leave until dried. Rinse off with warm water and moisturize the skin thoroughly after this excellent facial detox treatment.

Facial Detox with White Clay

Useful both for exfoliation and the removal of toxins from your skin, a white clay facial mask is a great facial detox, easy to make.

You can mix about a quarter of a cup of clay with either purified water or pure aloe vera juice before applying on your face when reaching the preferred consistency.

Leave the mask to dry, a process which shouldn’t take more than 25-30 minutes before washing your face with lukewarm water and moisturizing well to complete the facial detox.
