It may be sunny outside but the catwalks have already been awashed by the latest trends for the upcoming cold season. From natural, healthy-looking complexion and thick brows to seductive red lips and mysterious eyes, from messy and undone to dressy hair, from high top knots to chic ponytails, check out the hottest fall 2020 runway beauty trends spotted at London Fashion Week. It’s all about simple and clean looks and laid-back, unpretentious hairstyles! Have a closer nosey and update your beauty routine!

Natural, natural, natural! Yes, this trend was literally everywhere. Fresh, youthful and utterly delicate, the barely-there makeup is going to be huge for fall 2020. Forget thick layers of foundation and over-plucked brows and think glowing complexion and glossy lips (Giles), healthy cheeks (Temperley London), and soft touches of shadows (Burberry Prorsum) and eyeliner (Erdem). For special occasions, opt for vampy red lips keeping the rest of the face neutral (Jonathan Saunders, David Koma).

If there is one makeup trend known for its timeless feel, that is the classic eyeliner. Well, what can be more sexy and feminine than a demure line that can add a sultry touch to any look? For fall 2020, black liner was used in numerous ways from extremely simple to absolute drama. At Topshop Unique and Aquascutum, the trend is rather shy yet it perfectly enhances the beauty of the eyes. On the other hand, at Antonio Berardi and Paul Smith, the eyes took center stage. “It is a rock ‘n roll, Keith Richards eye, but we decided to give it a modern twist with a bit of color,” said makeup artist Petros Petrohilos about the Paul Smith look. Make a statement using a pencil liner and smudge it all over the lids. And remember to keep the rest of your makeup refined and minimal.

If you want to reinvent your hair this fall, just take the already famous pony and bun and have fun creating newer versions of these simple ‘dos. Forget complicated and elaborated styles and think relaxed-looking yet chic ponytails. From slicked (J.W. Anderson, Erdem) to super-feminine with an effortless feel (Giles and Marios Schwab), there’s no end when it comes to the creative looks this lovely ‘do offer. Another style you can easily achieve is the popular bun. Whether it’s slightly boyish (Vivienne Westwood) or gorgeously adorable (Roksanda Ilincic), its versatility is amazing and allows you to tailor it in order to suit a wide range of events. A great updo for long hair is also the top knot. Keep it soft as seen at Issa or make it full and wide as spotted at Mary Katrantzou.
