Punjabi Bridal Makeup Tips and Technicians:

1. Base:

Before application of base make up, cleanse the face thoroughly and apply little moisturizer. Then rub ice cubes on the face to close the pores and feel fresh. Apply corrector on problem areas to give an even tone to the skin and neck. Instead of dots, use strokes of corrector for an even blend.

Next, apply foundation all over the face, especially around the eyes, neck and jaw line in dots. Then with a use of wet make-up pad pat it on the skin to blend. This will give a smooth base and bright look to the face.

Lastly, seal the base make-up with compaq. Use the shade that matches the foundation. Avoid over doing the powder, as it might make the appearance very cakey.

2. Eyes:

Next comes the eyes. To start with, apply loose powder over the eye lids and under the eyes.
Punjabi bridal make-up has a bold glittery touch on the eyes, so use a light base over the lids, especially on the inner corner of the eyes.

To give dimension to the eyes, use a darker shade on the outer corner and blend together. Re-apply the inner and outer corner shades and blend for a darker finish.

For the brow bone, use a glitter that matches with the outfit. Apply a similar base on the brow bone, then the glitter and blend well for a smooth finish.

Use 2 coats of black mascara, and black or brown eye liner on the lids.

To finish the eye make-up, apply dark kohl or Kajal under the eyes and finish with a quote of coloured Kajal if required.

3. Cheeks:

For a glittery look, the cheeks need to be highlighted wisely, so that it does not make the face look very dull. So make sure you use a base shade or one with peach-pink undertones.

Apply base tone on the jaw line first. Start from inside and move with upward strokes to the forehead. This will enhance the facial features and make the face look longer.

Apply a bronzer with fine glittery finish in the same pattern on the cheek apple. Do not use a very shiny or a very dark shade. This will make you look dull. Also avoid using a cream based blusher. The face will look oily and dark in no time.

For the final touch use a suitable lipstick shade and apply as follows.

Use foundation on the lips and set it with powder.

With a lip liner define the lips. Do not outline on the outer side to shape the lips, it will make the lips look broad.

Next, use the base colour and apply an even coat using a thin lip brush on the bottom lip. Apply a darker coat on the upper lip, this makes the lips look plump.

Finish with gloss on the lower lip and blend with the brush. Use very light gloss on the upper lip.
You are now ready for your big day. Following these quick and easy steps gives you a professional like look without spending a fortune on expensive salon packages. Above all, if you do the make-up on your own, it will surely give a hundred percent satisfactory outcome.
