Lanvin is launching a new fragrance titled “Me” for spring 2020. The new scent is said to be a reflection of the brand’s defining characteristics while at the same time being a step forward and an experimental alternative. Philippe Benacin, chairman and chief executive officer of the company best explained the direction of the new brand: “more fashion-related, high-end and worked. It is a new step for us; it is a next level.”
The type of women the new Lanvin Me perfume aims to delight is also extremely interesting. Benacin explained the intent of the new scent to WWD: “It’s of a woman who thinks of herself, who is hedonist but not egoist. In the communication we want to put forward a lot of sensuality and elegance at the same time.” But beyond the feelings and concepts it evokes, the defining notes of the new perfume from Lanvin are the ones that ultimately decide whether the new scent will be the success its creators anticipate.
The new Lanvin “Me” fragrance is characterized as being a floral gourmand scent. The new fragrance first delights our olfactory senses with top notes of mandarin and blueberry. A heart of tuberose and rose notes brings complexity to the new scent while base notes of licorice wood and sandalwood complete this fashioniable new scent. If the scent sounds interesting or intriguing, you should know that the scent is set to be launched this month, which means that you’ll have the opportunity to test it soon. In the US, the Lanvin “Me” perfume will be first launched at Nordstrom.
The new scent comes in three versions: 30-, 50- and 80-ml. The new scent has a price between $50 and $100. The new Lanvin perfume for 2020 is expected to be extremely successful even though the luxury label has refused to reveal sales projections. The previous projects with Inter Parfums which started almost a decade ago have proved extremely beneficial for both parties.
