A best selling fragrance might be the latest thing Taylor Swift will add to her already impressive long list of achievements. The teen sensation has been working closely with the Elizabeth Arden brand in order to create her first fragrance, “Wonderstruck” which is inspired by one of her songs, “Enchanted”.

Her first signature scent is meant to evoke the pleasurable feelings and memories related to love: “I’ve always loved how fragrance can shape a memory, the way certain scents remind you of events and people that are imprinted in your thoughts.

I share personal life experiences through my music, and my fragrance will allow me to share these experiences with my fans in a completely different and new way. Falling in love is a moment every girl daydreams about and Wonderstruck represents that magical feeling of promise and hope and intrigue. It was fascinating to learn that you can layer so many different scents to create a beautiful end result.”

The 21 year old diva was closely involved in the process of creating her first fragrance and she states that the entire process resembles her work as a musician:

“Writing songs is a process unlike anything else, and I’ll never experience anything like it. However, coming up with ideas for this fragrance and the packaging and message of it reminded me of what it’s like to plan an album launch. You come up with a theme that represents all these tiny moving parts, a sum of all the planning and creating. Then it goes out into the world and becomes a part of people’s daily lives.”

Needless to say, her brand of choice also has a great amount of confidence as far as her popularity and her ability to impress go. Official statements on this matter have been made by Lori Mariano, director of global marketing at Elizabeth Arden Inc who declared: “She has global star power. That, coupled with her fan adoration, shows she’s really going to make an indelible mark in this fragrance industry.”

The fragrance will bring together a myriad of interesting scents. At the base of the fragrance we can find musk, peach and sandalwood notes which are skilfully combined with core notes of Hawaiian blanket, hibiscus and honeysuckle and vanilla. The top notes that finish this select bouquet of scents defining the perfume at the same time are freesia, green tea, apple blossom, raspberry and dewberry.

The perfume will be launched in two distinct phases: starting with this fall, in late September the fragrance will be available in US stores such as Macy’s, Belk’s and Dillard’s, Sephora and Ulta as well as in Puerto Rico, Australia and New Zealand. Fans from other parts of the world, on the other hand, will have to wait significantly longer for the scent as it will only be available for fall 2020. The pricing will be the following:$49.50 for a 1.7-oz. eau de parfum and $59.50 for a 3.4-oz. size, $18 roller ball, $29 body lotion and $25 ball gel in 6.8-oz. containers.
