After designers first got to show their new collections in New York, London took over, bringing some new ideas and more of the same to the table. ‘70s influences dominated most of the runways, while J.W. Anderson went more in the direction of the ‘80s.

High Collars
High necks showed up in a wide variety of shapes on the London runways. From high collars to polo necks and roll necks, they were a big presence in collections from Topshop Unique, Bora Aksu, Daks, and Emilia Wickstead.
They’re not just trendy, but they’re also practical for cold fall days, so they’re definitely on their way to becoming a defining trend this year.
Orange
One of the biggest London Fashion Week AW15 trends, orange is definitely standing out just as much as it was in at NYFW. Softer shades of tangerine are definitely the new must have fall neutral. The color showed up everywhere from coats to dresses, in collections from David Koma, Amanda Wakely, and Sibling.
Fringe
The most recognizable retro element from the ‘70s, fringe was a big deal in London, showing up everywhere from Burberry to Julien Macdonald. If the idea of fringed skirts and dresses is too much for your style, you’ll still find plenty of accessories with fringe, from boots to bags. Or you could embrace the boho style this fall and go with double fringe.
Red
While orange was the brightest pop of color at NYFW, one of the biggest London Fashion Week AW15 trends was red. Temperley London, Erdem, Issa, House of Holland, and many more collections featured lots of red, from head to toe looks to matching red dresses and shoes. When you’re looking for a bolder fall look, red is definitely the way to go.

Velvet
From Burberry’s velvet capes to dresses and pants, velvet also made a big splash in London. Featured in collections from Topshop Unique, Christopher Kane, Mary Katrantzou, and House of Holland, the fabric brings another dramatic element to fall looks. You can go subtle with just velvet trimming or embrace this trend fully with a bold look.
Pink
One of the most important London Fashion Week AW15 trends, pink made a strong impression on the runway in a variety of shades. Whether you prefer a more daring bubblegum pink or think pale pink is more compatible with your style, it’s here to stay. Featured in collections from Mulberry to Molly Goddard, voluminous pink creations are on their way to becoming a fall sensation.
Geometric Prints
If you love patterns, you’ll be happy to know there were one of the major London Fashion Week AW15 trends. From checkerboards at Preen and Roksanda Ilincic to more dramatic geometric prints at J.W. Anderson, geometric patterns are definitely something to look forward to for fall. They were also included in collections from Sibling, Temperley London, and House of Holland.
Brocade
The revival of brocade was already expected on the runways, but collections from Erdem, Mary Katrantzou and Simone Rocha really brought this classic fabric into the present with dramatic shapes and exciting cutouts, while still keeping its luxurious look.
Feathers
While furs were also a big trend in London, just like at NYFW, feathers ended up as one of the most sophisticated London Fashion Week AW15 trends. Topshop and Osman featured plenty of feathers in their collections, and used them over sheer fabrics or as bold statements.
