While many women still go under the knife for breast implants, a growing segment of celebrities who have had breast enlargements is having them removed. Whether it’s silicone or saline, breast implants are still one of the most requested cosmetic procedures, but they might only be a short term enhancement.

Fans have often discussed Victoria Beckham’s changing bust size, but the fashion icon has only recently admitted to having her breast enhanced and then removing the implants altogether. “I don’t have those anymore. I think I may have purchased them,” she joked in an interview for Allure Magazine as she browsed through older pictures of herself.
Sharon Osbourne
“The Talk” co-host Sharon Osbourne is one of the celebrities who had their breast implants removed because of a medical emergency. “One morning I woke up and one of my boobies was kind of much longer than the other,” she confessed on the talk show, after one of her implants burst and leaked into the wall of her stomach, leading to the removal of both.
Pamela Anderson
One of the biggest poster girls for breast implants, Pamela Anderson had them removed in 1999. After saying she wanted to get rid of them for a long time and that she was very happy with her decision, Pamela ended up getting new, smaller breast implants. Silicone may have had a big impact on her career, but for thousands of young actresses who followed her lead, breast implants didn’t translate into fame.
Courtney Love
One of the celebrities who had their breast implants removed, Courtney Love decided to keep them as a souvenir. Unfortunately, she didn’t keep them away from her Pomeranian and the dog died after eating one of them in 2020. Love continued to get other plastic surgery, but never went back to breast implants.
Heather Morris
“Glee” actress Heather Morris decided to get rid of her implants when she was only 24. “Implants were something I thought I wanted when I was young, and now I don’t. It was hard being active with them. My chest was always sore. It hurt a lot, and I didn’t like always being in pain – so they had to go!” she explained to Fitness magazine.
Jane Fonda
The 76 year old actress is now firmly against plastic surgery, but she decided to get breast implants at the age of 51, during her marriage with media mogul Ted Turner. The reason for the procedure was to “feel more like a woman”, but she ended up hating it and joined the list of celebrities who had their breast implants removed.

The Fleetwood Mac singer was one of the first celebrities to get breast enhancement surgery in 1976, but 18 years later she decided it was time to get rid of them. She was one of the first celebrities who had their breast implants removed and talked about it publicly. “I’m living proof that they aren’t safe. It turned out they were totally broken,” she told People magazine.
Tamra Judge (Barney)
One of the cast members of The Real Housewives of Orange County since Season 3, Tamra Judge explained on her Facebook page why she decided to become one of the celebrities who had their breast implants removed.
“Lots of people have been asking me WHY I had my breast implants removed and here is my answer: I had them removed for several reasons, 1. I live a more active lifestyle now (working out and running) and they really got in the way. 2. I feel at 44 I am finally comfortable in my own skin and I don’t need big ta-ta’s to make me look better. 3. one of the biggest reasons, I had a scare with breast cancer and I thought it would be better to just have them removed,” Tamra wrote to her fans.
Jenny McCarthy
McCarthy might become one of the celebrities who had their breast implants removed, but so far her plastic surgeries have only involved swapping the implants for a smaller version. “Women have to get their ‘tires rotated’ so to speak every 10 years”, McCarthy commented about her implants.
