He’s conquered the world with his music and bad boy charm and now the Voice judge, Adam Levine conquers Details magazine with his impeccable style. The guy who’s ‘got the moves like Jagger’ looks hot donning a casual ensemble in front of Norman Jean Roy’s camera lens, so check out a selection of photographs featured in Details and check out excerpts of his interview as the Maroon 5 frontman gushed on everything from music to fears, fame and women.
The singer, who’s new album ‘Overexposed’ is about to hit the shelves towards the end of June, doesn’t seem to be shy to talk about women. The 33-years-old stud, who recently split with his Victoria’s Secret supermodel Anne Vyalitsyna, says that he’s never had a problem talking to girls due to his extended family. He tells the magazine that:
“One of my theories on why I’m so capable of understanding women is that after my parents split, my mom moved in with her brother’s ex-wife, my aunt who was also newly single. So I was living in a house with two jilted women, plus my cousin, who’s more like my sister, and my brother, Michael, who we eventually found out is gay. Just the estrogen alone . . . You know when you’re 14 and terrified to talk to a girl? I didn’t suffer much from that. It seemed very natural to me to talk to girls.”
He’s flaunted his hot body nearly naked for an entire world to see, so he’s definitely comfortable in his own skin. The man who’s been rumored to have dated numerous celebs of the opposite sex says that there are two kinds of men and he falls in the category of men who love women. He says:
“There’s two kinds of men: There are men who are [email protected]#$ing misogynist pigs, and then there are men who just really love women, who think they’re the most amazing people in the world. And that’s me. Maybe the reason I was promiscuous, and wanted to sleep with a lot of them, is that I love them so much.”
His music has made it to the highest peaks and Adam explains why “a lot of people perceive our music as very safe”. The singer says that “it was a reaction to the conformity I was rebelling against”, as he wanted to do something different than everyone was doing at that time.
Despite the fact that he says he’s never been interested in reality TV, he says that the show he was selected as judge on, ‘The Voice’ was something different, brought positivity and was a good opportunity for him to show the world that he’s “got a brain”. He tells Details that:
“I’ve always felt a little misrepresented in the world. I felt like people only knew me as a singer who dated pretty girls. A little bit of a bimbo. Maybe I was kind of a bimbo,[laughing]. I was the music dude that was naked all the time with the girls, and that’s fine, no problem with that. But I wanted to create a little balance. When the show came around, I thought, ‘People now know that I have a brain.’”
