Adam Levine is engaged to Behati Prinsloo. The Maroon 5 frontman and “The Voice” judge decided not only to mend his relationship with the model, after splitting shortly after the New Year, but to truly take it to the next level. Still thinking it’s a joke after hearing rumors about him dating model Nina Agdal? Well, let us assure you it is not.
His rep told People magazine that: “Adam Levine and his girlfriend Behati Prinsloo are excited to announce they are engaged to be married. The couple recently reunited and Adam proposed this weekend in Los Angeles.”
Turns out, the 34 year old hitmaker is really officially off the market and has ended his usual ways. Given the ease with which he switched models, most people wouldn’t think of him as the settle down type of guy, but apparently those impressions were wrong.
He recently told Oprah that he’s actually considering getting married one day : “I’m a fan of marriage. People think that I keep pooh-poohing marriage, but I love it … I want to probably be married at some point. I don’t feel pressure to get married. I think that when it’s time, it’s going to be obvious and I’m going to do it and I’m going to really enjoy it.” Little did everyone know the true meaning of those words until now.
Though he reported being “heartbroken” over the end of his two year relationship with Victoria’s Secret model Anne Vyalitsyna, it seems that he quickly recovered in the arms of the 24-year-old Namibian model. The two might have been dating for only a year but it seems it was all it took for Adam to realize that he’s done with his promiscuous ways which he defended in an interview with Details magazine given a while back: “There’s two kinds of men: There are men who are f—ing misogynist pigs, and then there are men who just really love women, who think they’re the most amazing people in the world. And that’s me. Maybe the reason I was promiscuous, and wanted to sleep with a lot of them, is that I love them so much.”
