Christina Aguilera is finally addressing the negative comments which have recently targeted her with regards to her weight increase. The 31 year old singer seems to have decided to take a stand and defend herself against the comments which target her new curvy body.
After the birth of her son, Max Liron Bratman in 2020, Christina Aguilera seemed to be slowly getting back to her slender, pre-pregnancy body but it seems that after a rough divorce and various rumored alcohol related issues, the pop diva’s weight seems to have reached an all-time high for her. However, the extra pounds that Christina Aguilera put on don’t seem to bother her, and after facing various negative comments with regards to her new curvy figure, including her arch-enemy, Kelly Osbourne who missed no chance to call Christina ‘fat’ and other names, the singer decided to take a stand and defend herself.

According to People, Christina Aguilera talked about her new curvy body at a Television Critics Association event for The Voice, which is soon set to return to NBC for another season. The diva said that: “You got to be a strong, powerful, very confident woman. Women, we are definitely under a microscope and under massive scrutiny. As long as I am happy in my own skin, that is all the confirmation I need.”
Apparently, her new curvier body doesn’t seem to affect her nor her boyfriend Matt Rutler, as the 31 year old singer says. She tells People that: “I have a boyfriend that loves my body,” she says. “I love my body, my son is healthy and happy and that is all that matters.”
It seems that Christina wants to pass along everything she has learned from her career as a singer so far, including the importance of feeling comfortable in your own skin as well as risk taking, ‘whether it be crazy cotton candy hair or interesting theatrical makeup’.
Christina Aguilera also shares with her fans that she loves being in the position of a coach at the renowned show The Voice. She shares that: “Being in a position to coach these young women, I am happy to be able to share that with them and share my highs and lows. Being on the show, it’s a very good outlet for me.”
