Dakota Fanning and her sister Elle have managed to take the world by storm with their amazing talent. With a career that began at an early age, the two sisters seem to have a well defined plan with regards to their careers. The two beauties, Dakota and Elle cover W Magazine December 2020 issue and talk about their life and career path, so take a peek at their interview as well as stunning photoshoot.
The two sisters have managed to deal with being famous since early age and don’t really have a problem with the fact that people recognize them. When asked if she can recall a moment when she wasn’t known by the world, Dakota Fanning replied: “It’s all I’ve ever experienced, and it’s what I’m used to. When you’re 6 years old, which is when I started, I think you start forming how you think about things. I’ve dealt with being known for so long that it’s just kind of normal to me. And that attention comes with what I love to do, which is act.”
Having grown up together, Dakota and Elle seem very close and Dakota’s decision to go to college definitely left its print over the family, as Elle states things have become a bit different. She tells the magazine that:
“She is a nice older sister. But it’s not like we always get along. Now that she’s going to college, it’s different. I went into her room at home in California, and all her clothes were gone! Her closet was empty! I don’t get to go in there and steal clothes anymore. It’s really strange. It’s sort of like she’s off making a movie, but this time she’s not coming back.”
Going to college was a decision Dakota took on her own as she didn’t want to miss out on the entire experience. Celebrities usually have a difficult time going through high school and college as being a public person can sometimes attract too much attention, but it seems that Dakota is used to her celebrity status. The actress reveals that the reason for which she decided to go to NYU is:
“For the same reasons I wanted to go to a high school: You hear people say, ‘Oh, when I was in high school’ or ‘When I was in college.’ That defines a lot of who people are, and I didn’t want to miss out on that.”
The two sisters, although several years apart, seem to have the same ‘guilty pleasures’ in watching reality TV and not only. They reveal to W magazine that: “We watch a lot of reality TV. My sister and I record Big Brother. We’re obsessed! And we love old game shows like Password and the original Family Feud. Also, me and my sister watch Criminal Minds. We record every episode, and we watch it every single night.”
