The last two months were undoubtedly challenging for the beautiful singer and actress Demi Lovato who has tried to sort out her emotional and physical issues in a treatment facility, after she voluntarily sought help and canceled her worldwide tour with the Jonas Brothers. Although there were rumors that the young star went to rehab to overcome alcohol and drug addiction, the star’s representatives have quickly denied these statements.
However, it seems like things are starting to get better for Demi as she seems to have completed her prescribed treatment and an outpatient program and she has already returned to Los Angles being spotted in Santa Monica . Despite the fact that she is feeling a lot better, her journey towards recovery will continue according to a close source of the star:
“Demi will continue to focus first and foremost on her well-being. She will continue to see doctors in L.A. who will help her work on the issues she confronted in treatment. For now, she is getting back to her regular routine and spending time with her family and close friends. She is so grateful to all of her fans for their support, and looks forward to being able to talk to all of them very soon.”
Demi Lovato herself made a statement this month to express her gratitude for her fans who have supported her during the treatment: “I want to make sure my fans know how thankful I am for all their love, support and prayers during this difficult time. Thank you for standing beside me through it all”.
Demi has entered the treatment facility after she allegedly hit Alex Welch, a female backup dancer, giving her a black eye and a bruised cheek, while on the tour with Jonas Brothers. Although Alex has complained to the manager about the incident, she eventually reached a settlement with the starlet and avoided going to court.
We are extremely glad that, unlike Charlie Sheen, she managed to overcome her difficulties and sought help to deal with her issues instead of going on a downward spiral that would have deepened her meltdown. Although no comments were released on whether she will be returning to work on the third season of “Sonny With a Chance”, we hope she will be able to get back to her career soon.
