It seems that the custody battle that is still continuing between the well known movie star Halle Berry and her ex Gabriel Aubry reveals some interesting things such as the fact that Halle Berry was quite upset over the Kim Kardashian and Gabriel Aubry episode. The two have started an ugly battle for the custody of their baby girl, Nahla, and the battle is getting uglier by the minute.
Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry, who is a French-Canadian model, started dating in 2020 after meeting at a Versace photoshoot. After two years of dating, Halle Berry announced that she is expecting her first baby. Everyone was shocked as Halle was actually considering adopting a baby, but something must have changed her mind over time, as she decided she wanted to experience motherhood completely.
On March 16, 2020 Halle Berry gave birth to a beautiful and healthy baby girl which was named Nahla Ariela. Although the two have become parents, Halle did not share an intention of getting married and that was a smart decision as the couple split in 2020.
Since then, things have been sitting on quick sand, and the two started to live their lives separately. Gabriel Aubry looked like he was moving on and the media went crazy after he was spotted at a Lakers Game with reality star Kim Kardashian. The couple’s relationship was never confirmed but usually “there’s no smoke without a fire”. This episode seems to have triggered a negative reaction from Halle Berry as, according to People, Halle Berry was upset by the matter. A source told People that:
“Halle was very upset. She was upset at the idea of someone like that being in her daughter’s life. She did not want a reality star to be in Nahla’s life.”
“Halle couldn’t care less who Gabriel dates. She just didn’t want Nahla exposed to the cameras that are undoubtedly around a reality star.”
Well, it seems that the reason for her negative reaction wasn’t jealousy but concern for her daughter’s well-being. Stars usually try to keep their children out of media attention as being constantly followed and on camera is definitely not easy. A number of celebrities who have been exposed to celebrity too early have ended-up “troubled”, celebrities such as Macaulay Culkin, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, etc.
However, it seems that sources close to Gabriel Aubry told People in a response to the subject that Nahla was never close to Kim Kardashian. Well, a mother’s concern for her baby’s security is always understandable, so we’re not surprised of Halle’s reaction. We hope that everything works out for the best and in the interest of their little girl, so all that is left is sit back and wait for the court’s decision.
