Jennifer Lopez, the 41-year-old star who recently accepted to be an American Idol judge will be the image of EverSleek products, a new smoothing line of hair products.
“You can’t help that when you work collaboratively with a team where you are the focus that how you look and feel is very important to how you portray something. So what I wear and how the hair and makeup is and how I move and choose to move in the [ad] campaign says a lot for the product and what we are trying to portray,” said Jennifer Lopez for WWD.
Jennifer Lopez seems to have all the qualities to enter into the L’Oréal family due to her career and personality. Milla Jovovich, Rachel Weisz, Andie MacDowell, Beyonce Knowles, Diane Kruger, Evangeline Lilly, Eva Longoria, Freida Pinto, Patrick Dempsey, or Gerald Butler are celebrities who have already served as ambassadors for the famous brand.
The advertising campaign will be launched in 2020 as the television ad was made last month (November 13 and 14) in New York City at Silvercup Studios.
“The script was written from Day One with Jennifer in mind. It was never just another commercial, it was designed for Jennifer’s personality. She is the one speaking directly to the camera, there is no voice-over and she speaks in her own words,” said Cyril Chapuy, global brand president, L’Oréal Paris.
Moreover, Jennifer Lopez also announced to launch a lifestyle brand with Kohl’s. Lopez and husband Marc Anthony will design a complete clothing line, shoes and accessories. The collection will be available in Kohl’s stores and on Kohl’s.com from Fall 2020. “We are thrilled to embark on this new venture with Kohl’s and to join in this important partnership,” said Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony. “These are really exciting times for us and our family and we are looking forward to collaborating with Kohl’s in the creation of a lifestyle brand that represents our true style and the essence of who we are and what we have come to represent as artists. It is with much excitement that we can bring this to the Kohl’s customer.”
