Pregnant Jessica Alba definitely radiates confidence and beauty as she has been named one of the hottest women on earth several times, but that wasn’t always what Jessica felt about herself. In the interview with Allure, she states that she hasn’t fully embraced her sexuality until after she had her daughter Honor.
Apparently, Jessica Alba wasn’t as confident as you’d think a sex-symbol would be, but things took a totally different turn once she has had her first daughter. Motherhood seems to have helped Jessica Alba discover her true beauty, the beauty of being a woman and a mother, and this helped her become much more confident.
For years before and after her pregnancy, Jessica Alba has been named one the most beautiful women on the planet and this hasn’t changed even if now Jessica is preparing to welcome another baby into the world. She states that pregnancy helped her shyness she once had with regards to her sexuality. She told Allure that: “I was quite shy with it. It wasn’t something I embraced until I had my daughter. I saw how incredible and amazing it is to be a woman and to be able to create a life. There’s a reason why certain areas of the body are desirable – because it all leads to reproduction. There’s a science behind it all. It’s not just to sell whatever you’re selling on a billboard or a magazine or a movie.”
Physical appearance has always been a big issue, especially in the entertainment business, and many women fear pregnancy and the changes it brings to the body. Jessica Alba talks about experiencing these changes and says that they have made her different, her body is different, but she is not afraid of these changes, as she’s ready for baby No.2. With hard work, Jessica has gotten back to her pre-pregnancy physique, but she states that her body is just different, it’s not the same as before. She says: “I can’t ever get down to the weight I was before I had Honor. My body’s just different. The jeans just sort of zip up differently, and things hang differently. It’s a miracle what happens, but you definitely are different afterward.” After her statement, Jessica decided to throw a joke in and added: “Unless you’re Gisele”[Gisele Bundchen]
When asked about her opinion with regards to the woman that turned to plastic surgery to resemble Jessica and recapture her ex-boyfriend’s attention, Jessica says: “That’s just so bizarre, because the physical is so fleeting anyway, and when you’re in a relationship, the physical lasts for, maximum, two years. And then you don’t care how attractive you are to that person – if they drive you nuts, they drive you nuts.” Check out the entire interview and the amazing photos taken at Franklin Canyon Lake, L.A, in the August issue of Allure.
