Jessica Simpson gave birth to a baby boy! The star welcomed her second child on Sunday June 30 at a Los Angeles hospital through a scheduled C-section. After her much publicized first pregnancy, the star tried to lay low and even be fairly secretive about the pregnancy, but that didn’t work out too well. After much speculation the star confirmed her pregnancy via Twitter during a Christmas vacation through a very simple message: a sweet photo of her daughter Maxwell Drew with the caption “BIG SIS”.
Though she initially planned on keeping her second child’s gender a secret, that plan hilariously fell apart when she got invited to the Jimmy Kimmel Live show in March and stated: “The crazy thing is I never knew a wiener could make me nauseous. Well, I guess I just told the world that I’m having a boy!”.
Later on, at her Tom Sawyer-themed baby shower, in April, the star expressed her excitement: “I’m so excited to have a son. I didn’t grow up with a brother and I think the unknown is really exciting. I can’t wait to have that connection with our little man.”
Now that the news that Jessica Simpson welcomed a healthy baby boy is out in the open, one question is inevitably arises: what’s his name? Fortunately, the couple decided to abandon the secretive policy. Jessica Simpson’s baby boy name is Ace Knute (pronounced Ka-nute), a rep told US magazine: “Ace Knute (pronounced Ka-nute) Johnson has arrived! Mom and baby are doing great. Jessica, Eric and Maxwell are thrilled to welcome the new addition to their family.” The baby’s middle name honors Eric Johnson’s Swedish grandfather, the rep added.
Now that Ace Knute Johnson was born, a couple of questions are on the minds of the star’s fans. When will she present her baby boy? Will she do it on the cover of a magazine or on her personal social media account like new parents Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan? Will she get married after a few months as she confessed she hopes to do? How long will it take her to get rid of baby weight and what weight loss plan will she choose this time? Well, only time will answer all these questions.
