Katie Holmes is pretty in red on the cover of Marie Claire‘s November 2020 issue. Inside the magazine, the 32-year-old actress talks about her daughter Suri, her family, but also about her career and future plans. Photographed by Tesh and styled by Alison Edmond, Katie looks amazing in a special, dreamy spread.
Tom Cruise’s wife told Marie Claire that Suri has a privileged position which will give her the chance to work with extremely talented people in the business. “Being around this business, my daughter is exposed to people with incredible talent, people who are the best at what they do. People I only dreamed of getting to work with as a little girl,” the actress says.
Holmes also confessed that her daughter accompanies her at different work events. Besides, Katie said that she always carries in her bag paper and markers. “My daughter was with me the other day at a work event and it was a long day. I took out some paper and markers that I had in my bag, and someone said to me, ‘Oh, that is so cute,’ and I looked at her and thought, No, this is not cute. This is what all mothers have to do,” Katie noted.
Katie is not just a talented actress, but she is also a mother, wife, friend, and a successful businesswoman. The lovely star fights for excellence in every aspect of her life. How she manages to balance things, maintain the harmony and be so effective, the actress explains in the interview with Marie Claire. “Because you have to. As an actress who is also a mother, you don’t have the luxury of drama,” she says.
Katie confesses she would like to simplify her life. “I’m thinking about getting rid of [my mobile phone]. Wouldn’t it be great to have an old-fashioned phone sheet? Go to your office, make your calls, and then continue with your day,” the actress stated.
As for her future plans, Holmes told the magazine she would love to dare new experiences that she didn’t have the courage to try in the past. Moreover, she reveals the desire to grow her own fashion label. “[I feel ready] for the next chapter of my life. I’m excited to begin a new phase: roles I might have been afraid to play before, places I want to travel to with my daughter. I’d like to build the design business. But not too fast,” Katie says.
