Kelly Osbourne: I’m Not Getting Fat

Apparently Kelly Osbourne, daughter of the well known “Black Sabbath” singer, Ozzy Osbourne, is quite pleased by her progress as far as weight goes, but it seems the media isn’t, as there have been reports about Kelly’s weight gain. Celebrities are expected to look a certain way and it seems that the media pressure with regards to this aspect has pushed many celebrities towards extreme solutions to lose weight. Kelly Osbourne: I’m Not Getting Fat

Kelly Osbourne was quite overweight just a few years back, until her weight loss when she decided to lose those extra pounds and get fit. Since then Kelly has lost over 40 pounds and she looks fabulous. Not skinny but fit, Kelly was confronted with reports about her weight gain and it seems that this has triggered a response from her, as she recently told Us Weekly that she’s happy with her body and that she’s not getting fat.

Kelly stated in an interview that: “[The media keeps] writing that I’m getting fat, and I’m not; I’m the same size,” “I work out half an hour a day and just eat what I want and I’m happy, so I don’t really care”. But isn’t it ludicrous that a person is being judged for her weight although she is not obese, her weight doesn’t pose as a health threat and she feels satisfied with the way she looks?!

According to Kelly, people have been making more fuss over her weight than her drug addiction and looking like a model mandatory nowadays if you’re a public person. Do we all have to fit into a pattern to feel accepted? Kelly told Us in February 2020: ”I took more hell for being fat than I did for being an absolute raging drug addict. I will never understand that.”

Kelly has always been honest about her life, and the fact that she just doesn’t care and feels fab in her own skin is admirable.
