For all the guys who’ve been dreaming of Kim Kardashian this is a sad day as apparently the reality start diva has decided to take her relationship to another level by getting engaged to her boyfriend, pro basketball player Kris Humphries.
Kim Kardashian has been dreaming of the perfect man for quite a while as she stated in an interview she always pictured herself around this age married with children, but until now no one has popped the question. Well, it seems that Kris finally decided he’s wanted to be the man in Kim’s life and popped the question. Obviously Kim said yes and the two are now engaged to be married, but it isn’t this news that came as a shocker, it’s the ring Kim scored.
Apparently, the cost of the engagement ring was no impediment for Kris as he wanted his sweetheart to have the best of the best, so he bought the “perfect ring”, a $2 million diamond ring. Now how could have Kim said no to such a blinged-up jewelry? The 20.5 carat diamond ring was designed by Lorraine Schwartz and features a classic design; a 16.5 carat emerald cut center diamond paired with two smaller 2 carat diamonds placed on both sides of the center stone.
Kim Kardashian told People in an interview that she has always pictured her engagement ring BIG. And so her hubby-to-be didn’t waste any time to fulfil her wish and make her dream come true. However, this is a humongous engagement ring, so Kim was obviously thrilled. According to her statement, she has been dreaming of such a ring since high school, when she bought a fake “perfect ring”. Kim said: “In high school I went to Macy’s and bought this fake ring, my ‘perfect’ ring, and this is almost the exact same,”
Kris, who is a true gentleman, decided to pop the question, but not before asking for Kim’s hand in marriage from her parents, a couple of days before he asked her. After he got the approval, he prepared the event, as every girl wants that moment to be just right. Kris waited in Kim’s bedroom where he surprised her by writing with red rose petals “WILL YOU MARRY ME?” and bending on the knees with the huge rock in sight.
It seems that the rest of Kim’s family had no idea of the surprise, as Kim’s parents and Kris kept everything under wraps. The Jenner family had organized a dinner that evening and Kim came out flashing the gorgeous ring on her finger. Kourtney Kardashian said: “We had no idea! We were both surprised at the dinner when Kim came out with her big rock and she started waving it in the air.”
Kim Kardashian is super happy with her ring and husband-to-be as she proved by flaunting her rock on the cover of People magazine. We can’t wait to see Kim’s wedding dress choice, but until then, all we can say is Congrats!
