Lady Gaga proved that letting go of any inhibitions can be the secret to a successful career and the superstar has constantly pushed the boundaries of fashion, entertainment, hair and makeup. At just 25, the diva has known international recognition and gathered an array of awards to prove her fame, but it seems that Lady Gaga’s personal life interests her fans as much as her music. Vanity Fair has prepared a surprise for Lady Gaga’s fans as the diva bares it all in the January 2020 issue of the magazine, where she also talks about marriage and relationships.
It seems that although Lady Gaga may have everything a star could dream of as far as recognition and money, when it comes to the love field, the diva is no different that everyone else. She tells the magazine that: “I have never felt truly cherished by a lover. I have an inability to know what happiness feels like with a man. I say this honestly, and this is my new thing as of the past year: when I fight with someone I’m in a relationship with, I think, ‘What would my fans think if they knew this was happening? How would they feel about my work and about me as a female if they knew I was allowing this to go on?’ And then I get out.”
The diva, who calls her fans her ‘little monsters’ has never been shy to thank them for their appreciation, but it seems that not everyone in Gaga’s life has been so supportive as she tells Vanity that sometimes things start out good but end bad. She says: “I have this effect on people where it starts out good. Then, when I’m in these relationships with people who are also creative, or creative in their own way, what happens is the attraction is initially there and it’s all unicorns and rainbows. And then they hate me.”
However, compromise is not a word in Gaga’s vocabulary as she has never backed down from what she believes in, although others have tried to discourage her. Carrying a celebrity status is definitely not easy as the diva reveals, as jealousy always managed to make its presence felt. Gaga says that: “Perhaps it’s a whose-d**k-is-bigger contest. If I go to the piano and write a quick song and play it back, they are angry with how fast and effortless it is. That’s who I am, and I don’t apologize for it. But it’s a hideous place to be in when someone that you love has convinced you that you will never be good enough for anyone. I had a man say to me, ‘You will die alone in a house bigger than you know, with all your money and hit records, and you will die alone’.”
It appears that her strong personality has helped her take that negativity and transform it into motivation as Gaga says that in those stressful moments she thinks “I’ll show you”. The diva continues to say that: “I think what it really is, is that I date creative people. And I think that what intimidates them is not my purse; it’s my mind.”
As far as marriage goes, Lady Gaga states that she has had several wedding proposals by men she dated but split from and she gives a blunt answer for refusing them. She says: “How [email protected]#kin’ romantic, you a**hole. Sure, pop a ring on my finger and make it all better. I can buy myself a [email protected]#kin’ ring.”
Letting her inhibitions go, Lady Gaga decided to bare it all in an incendiary photoshoot with Vanity Fair, so check out the amazing editorial and find out more about Gaga.
