More and more celebrities are eager to fight for a noble cause and use their popularity to help various associations. This time we’ll find Lady Gaga, Pink and Mariah Carey on new PETA billboard. These divas of different music genres will join the “Fur-Free and Fabulous” campaign to promote animal rights. In spite of the meat dress which proved to be a pretty tricky outfit selection of Lady Gaga for the Video Music Awards, it seems that leaders from PETA won’t consider her as their greatest enemy and instead are keen to recruit her in their army against the cruelties done to animals. Fans will have the chance to spot the billboard raised on the corner of the Sunset Boulevard and also La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles. These divas, besides being some of the most prominent and sought-after celebs of the moment, managed to proclaim their hostile attitude against those who wear fur.

Pink was the one who criticized both Kanye West as well as Beyonce for wearing real fur for various events. She even starred in the short video “Stolen for Fashion” with Ricky Gervais in which she once again stood up against the ones who dare to wear fur.

Mariah Carey also donated a pair of Russian sable coats she got as a present for PETA, claiming her stance against this cruel fashion trend. We’re looking forward to the campaign that featured last year Oprah Winfrey and Michelle Obama.

About Lady Gaga the representatives of PETA claimed that: “Her anti-fur stance … has been unwavering.” “Gaga’s out-there outfits never include real fur,” the statement continued. “Last year, when she wore a dress made of fluffy Kermit the Frog dolls, [she] explained, ‘I thought it was commentary on not wearing fur, ’cause I hate fur and don’t wear fur.’ (MTV)

PETA is indeed one of the organizations who managed to attract the most influential celebrities of our times and team them with their well-defined campaign against the cruelty done to animals all over the world. Furthermore, this way also the fans and the media will find out more on the attitude and point of view of these glam divas on the most controversial problems of our era, which have nothing to do with music but only with social concerns.
