GQ Magazine asked for an interview to learn more about the opinion of Billy Ray Cyrus concerning Hannah Montana and the impact of this series on their life. Together with the fact that this production changed their life, it also had an unfortunate effect on his relationship with Miley Cyrus.
As he told earlier to GQ Magazine “The damn show [‘Hannah Montana’] destroyed my family” and he would “erase it all in a second if I could.” “She’s got a lot of people around her that’s putting her in a great deal of danger. I know she’s 18, but I still feel like as her daddy I’d like to try to help. Take care of her just a little bit, to at least get her out of danger.”
This interview apparently launched a real controversy as Miley Cyrus is furious over her father’s comments. A reliable source told to Pop Eater that: “To say Miley is angry is an understatement. She’s furious that her own flesh and blood would make a private matter so public. Who does he think he is, Michael Lohan?”
These harsh words will indeed only aggravate the lack of communication and conflict between the two artists. In spite of the fact that she decided not to comment this rumor in public, from the statements of her friends, we are still aware that she just can’t come to terms with this awkward situation.
Additionally, the report of Pop Eater also reveals that Miley Cyrus said that “This isn’t what a father does. He never said a bad word about ‘Hannah Montana’ all those years it made millions for the family, and now that Miley has turned 18 and is making her own decisions, he does this. Unforgivable.”
Whether this report put a definite end to the communication between Miley and her father Billy Ray Cyrus is still a matter of the future. However, what’s certain is that the two celebrities haven’t talked since December and that Miley told her friends about this situation that “If he wants to talk with her he has her number. It’s been the same number she always has had.”
