Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom Confirm Split

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom have split. Though they were once thought to be one of the happiest and most stable couples in showbiz, rumors of a possible split became more and more prevalent lately. It seems like they decided to separate after three years of marriage and six years spent together. In recent months, they were seen spending time with their son Flynn separately, but the split still came as a major shock for both of the stars’ fans.

The sad news was first announced by E! News. According to the source, an Orlando Bloom representative confirmed what it was long suspected: “In a joint statement, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months. After six years together, they have recently decided to formalize their separation.”

The ambiguous statement gave no specific reason for the split, but reinforced the fact that they will continue to respect each other despite the fact that they will soon walk on separate ways: “Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family,” the same rep stated.

The 36-year-old actor and 30-year-old former Victoria’s Secret model began dating in 2020, but only made their first public appearance together in April 2020 at Sydney’s Doncaster Day at the Randwick Racecourse, in the same weekend in which Orlando Bloom met the Aussie bombshell’s parents. The couple tied the knot discreetly in July 2020. Not long after, on January 6, 2020, the two welcomed their son, Flynn.

2020 has been a year full of changes for Miranda Kerr, who gave up her role as a Victoria’s Secret Angel and announced she will not take part in this year’s Victoria’s Secret Show as it was previously thought, due to earlier commitments. It remains to be seen who will be getting baby Flynn’s custody, however, if current statements are to be believed, the process will take place behind closed doors, without too much media involvement.
